Again, I found this gig through Facebook. I put my name down, very quickly, and lo and actual behold, I was on the bill.
This one is a bit different from my previous gigging experiences. Firstly, it wasn't just a comedy gig, in a bar or comedy club. It is a new variety night, for new acts. It is set on the sixth floor of the Argyll Arcade, just off Buchanan Street, in a large space with plenty of room for punters and a large stage area.
Great venue, if the lift was working, which it wasn't, which wasn't ideal as me and Mrs P had just grabbed a quick pre gig McDonalds and I have a very dodgy right knee.
Kris Blak was a warm and friendly host. I was on in the second half, between a singer and a Burlesque Act. I know. Bizarre.
Thoroughly enjoyed the night. Completely different atmosphere than a usual comedy gig. More how I'd imagine a Social Club gig to be.
